ROCKY MOUNTAIN PUBLIC MEDIA
Interactive Lobby Furniture Design
Denver, Colorado: 2020
What does it mean to be an empathetic organization? Rocky Mountain Public Media hired The Exhibits Team to design a movable installation to welcome visitors to the region’s public television and jazz radio station’s new home. The design features sweater-clad ottomans and large, tiger-striped walls sections which invoke PBS’s past and present heroes: Mr. Rogers and Daniel Tiger. Embedded in the wall’s wood stripes are several different provocations, asking the building’s guests to reflect and respond by writing on the translucent glass stripes. Over time, the wall will grow with the building— in both texture and meaning.
