In collaboration with the Children’s Museum of Tacoma, The Exhibits Team designed an enriching, accessible space for military families to gather and explore- together. Situated on Base within an old roller rink, this adventure includes climbing structures, water play, aircraft construction and testing, light and shadow manipulation, a makers’ and artist studio, a dedicated low-sensory room, and immersive dramatic play invitations throughout.

IN THIS JOURNEY… you are a traveler discovering wondrous and enchanting realms. Step through the Golden Portal and you can explore the Undersea Forest and Tide Pools. In the Great Innovator’s Workshop, experiment with the secrets of flight. If you’re looking to create something beautiful, head to the Light Piazza, where a maker’s market awaits. The Climbing Grove may contain the biggest mystery of all: Why is the Innovator’s Flying Ship stuck in the trees? Solve the puzzle and help re-energize the ship. And if you follow the road to its end, collecting enough souvenirs along the way, you can unlock the hidden magic within the Fairy Home. You are the hero of the story…and adventure is calling!
